Let's Go Outdoors!
#1 - Team Building Programs
These days, it seems as though everyone and their brother offers a team-building
program. So, how can you tell if you’re spending your money wisely?
For starters, you could ask some of the groups who have used our program.
We put together the A.B.L.E. (Adventure Based Learning Experiences)
Program years before most people had heard anything about the dynamics
of working
together as a cohesive unit to solve problems.
A.B.L.E. was designed
to address the problems we encounter everyday as we interact within
group situations such as work, sports teams, and community organizations.
Problems can range from interpersonal conflict to lateral thinking
skills
to time management, and everything in between.

Our program is effective because it is tailored to each organization
that participates. We meet with a facilitator from your organization
and customize a program to target your specific issues. At the end of
the activity your group will receive a written evaluation of their performance.
Not only do we want everyone to have fun; we want to ensure it was a
learning experience as well.
We offer a wide variety of exercises and activities to select from.
All have targeted educational objectives, designed to address the needs
of the user group.
Call for more information or to arrange for a presentation.
#2 - High Ropes Challenge Courses

Is your group looking for a "heightened" sense of awareness? If so, these programs are just what you’re looking for. Houghton College and YMCA Camp Hough are both within a 30 minute drive of our Letchworth State Park Site Office. Facilitators from either organization will provide instruction on the basic skills needed and then supervise your group at their respective course as you spend a day in the treetops negotiating a high ropes challenge course.
All
activities are challenge by choice, which means that although we will strongly
encourage you to try all the evolutions, no one is forced into doing anything
they are afraid of. There are both low and high exercises to choose from. Programs
can run from several hours to all day and are priced accordingly. Both facilities
are located near Letchworth State Park. Call for more information.

#3 - Paddle Instruction
Learn to Kayak Safely - Our A.C.A. certified instructors will work with you as you learn the skills needed to safely paddle a kayak, one step at a time. Whether you're interested in paddling on flat water or braving the rapids, we have the program for you. See the Course Schedule below for a date convenient to you. Private and Semi-private lessons are also available. Call or e-mail us for more information.
Cost: $105.00, includes all equipment needed.
When you complete ACO’s one-day kayak class, you become a student for one year. During this year, you may “audit” any other scheduled kayak class. (Space availability on a first come first serve basis).
Canoe & Kayak Self Rescue Class - This five-hour class is designed to help any paddler answer the question, “what to do when ... happens.” Our A.C.A. certified instructors will work with you as you learn about safety/rescue equipment and how to deal with mishaps on the water. This is an “in-water” class, so bring a towel!
Cost: $65.00, equipment provided as needed.
